Anyone who has been to Kaunas Jazz at least once undoubtedly knows the music of Dainius Pulauskas Group—even without realizing it. It was they who recorded the festival’s signature jingles that have echoed across concert halls before every performance for years.

The connection here runs deep and unpretentious: back in 1997, Kaunas Jazz released the group’s debut album “Penetration,” and the musicians themselves have been performing on the festival stage since its very first years.

Over three decades, the ensemble has toured nearly 40 countries and performed at a couple of hundred festivals—from Canada to China and South Africa.

A true backbone of Lithuanian jazz, always a joy to welcome back.
